MY STORY
Hello, I am Addi. A practical, detail-loving handywoman based in Horsforth. I set up SheFix Yorkshire to offer something a little different: skilled, respectful DIY and home repair services with a personal touch.
Over the years, I’ve helped friends, neighbours, and family with the kinds of jobs that don’t always make it to the top of the list. Adjusting doors, putting up shelves, fixing finishes. And I noticed how many people just wanted someone approachable, reliable, and thoughtful to help make their home feel right again.
That’s what I do. You won’t find rushed fixes or upselling here. Just honest work, done right. And sometimes a few design ideas thrown in because I believe small changes can bring big comfort.
Whether you’re a busy parent, someone living alone, new to DIY, or simply short on time, I am here to take care of the details that matter and leave things feeling more finished, more functional, and more yours.
And if you’ve seen a small black dog in my photos, that’s Shadow, my off-duty sidekick and online site supervisor. She doesn’t come to jobs (she prefers her donut bed), but she has a lot of opinions on skirting boards and biscuit breaks.
Site Supervisor. Biscuit Strategist. Unofficial Brand Director.
“She fixes things. I supervise.” – Shadow
Shadow is the black dog you’ll see in a lot of my photos, and she takes her role very seriously. She doesn’t come to jobs (she prefers her donut bed to power tools), but she does inspect tool bags, hoard snacks, and offer strong opinions on paint finishes.
If you ever see paw prints on my tool box, that’s quality control.
